Outside Bad, Inside Good

So, I stumbled across this ad, specifically Matticus sent it to me. From what I can tell, I think it first circulated back in early summer last year.
I installed this game and I'm going to have to say I was quite disappointed.
Let's examine the claims one by one:
- No monthly fee! Simply an outright LIE! Apparently, the game includes all sorts of monthly fees like house payments, utilities, subscriptions, etc. I never recall having to pay for any monthly fee! My guild doesn't even have yearly dues! I have to pay for armor repairs occasionally, but dailies more than cover those costs.
- Massive world to explore. Actually, this is true ... to an extent. However, there are apparently no planned expansions in my lifetime. Most of the world is also rundown, underdeveloped or openly hostile. Transportation is also very costly and time consuming. No hearthstones. Not fun.
- Incredible NPC AI. Um, I beg to differ. The leaders of the regions in this game have no clue what they are doing. And I'm not going to even discuss the default AI given to most of the NPCs in the game. I'll take my scripted encounters with Ragnaros.
- Over 56,400 archetypes. While this may be true, every switch between archetypes is a massive hassle requiring money to switch builds and immense amounts of time. Apparently, playing a Rogue in the game is also frowned upon! Why even have the archetype if you can't play it?
- Fully PvP. Why is this a good thing? First of all, PvP is actively discouraged. If you're caught participating in PvP, you can get a "death penalty". In Azeroth, the death penalty is no big deal, but I looked into the death penalty in this game and it's quite severe. And while some regions in the game have attempted to repeal this "death penalty", death still occurs! And it's permanent.
- Highest resolution graphics. Another bald-faced lie! Apparently a large portion of the population needs special equipment called "glasses" to see at the highest standard resolution. Read that again. Standard resolution. You need even more equipment to see at other resolutions like microscopic. No zoom feature either. One fixed resolution. Lame.
So, yeah, I'm going to pass this one up. Hopefully, something better will come along.

And what’s with this needing sleep and food and things to survive? Talk about restricting and a drain on your hard-earned money.
there is also no logging off when it becomes boring/frustrating/annoying. well…i mean there is…but its kind of permanent…
This is, quite possibly, the funniest thing I have seen. Evah.
your breakdown had me in stitches.
And clearly your review of the game has wide amrket appeal, because cassie is the one taht isisted, as I walked in the door, “Have you seen Dodge Parry Spin today? Omigod!”
ItemRack > anything I can find IRL.
I saw that poster a while ago, and laughed. Its still funny now.
It seems like you gain exp for doing anything including nothing while you play it so your character gets older. Its weird, you are in a timed game with no tutorial, no goals, and no final stage.
Gamespot did a review of Real Life a while back and gave it a 9.6. Is this Outside game made by the same company?
